Award-Winning ‘Soul Trader’ Delivers Supernatural Suspense with Shane West at LA Premiere
The Soul Trader premiered in Los Angeles at indie favorite Landmark Theater on Sunset Blvd.
The short film is ambitious in just about every way. From its start at the Cannes Film Festival, to its award-winning unveiling at the Manhattan Film Festival. Needless to say, the Los Angeles premiere was crowded with industry folks, influencers and cast and crew proud to support.
The Soul Trader is a Short Film with a Tall Cast
Often, short films don’t manage to pull together great casts. This project is an exception as it includes frequent TV and movie heart throb Shane West (plaving a very different character than usual) and legendary TV actress Donna Mills along with newcomer Shauna Grace who’s given moment after moment to shine.

Miss Grace has a face you don’t forget. A Charlize Theron quality that’s both elegant and with a turn, fierce – a range that plays from romantic comedy to thriller. She gets the chance to touch on several of these moments in this short and teases us for her future chances.

Susan Dynner’s Return Behind the Camera
Dynner’s most famous for her music work, with cult hit “Punk’s Not Dead” and her Sundance indie producer hit “Brick”. Most recently with Anna Pacquin’s “Free Ride.”
Filmmaker Dynner brings feature film production value with cinematographer Mattias Schubert, score by Jeff Russo (Fargo and Ripley) and an original script from Mike Underwood.
“It’s weird because I’d never say I’m a horror director.
This script has elements of horror. But the horror community has really embraced it.
I love women focused stories and women-told stories. This story really appealed to me.
I’m grateful it attracted our amazing cast.”
