Bran Castle has survived Ottoman sieges, communist nationalization, and roughly a century of tourists asking where the bats are kept.
This November, it’s surviving something new: a beer brand’s Halloween party.
Flying Fish, the flavored malt beverage line AB InBev has been supporting as its “beyond beer” bet, is turning the Transylvanian fortress into a one-night Halloween production, DJs and all. The campaign spans six countries, but not the United States.
The most interesting thing about a global campaign is never the party. It’s the map of where the invitation didn’t go.

The Pitch: Immersive, Not Interruptive
The campaign, “Do You Dare to Party at Dracula’s Castle?”, runs across South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, Peru, and Canada, with entries closing October 20, 2026 and the event itself landing November 7.
Four winners per market get flown to Romania. That’s a genuinely uncommon prize structure for a beer promotion — most brands settle for coolers and gift cards. Flying Fish is settling for a castle.
Bruno Cosentino, President of Balanced Choices & Beyond Co. at AB InBev, framed the logic around brand-building rather than beer-drinking: “Halloween hasn’t always been a traditional beer occasion, and that’s exactly what makes it such a natural fit for Flying Fish — a brand built around the unexpected.”
The Production Behind the Provocation
The November 7 lineup includes Sickick, Dubdogz, and Miro, with additional guest appearances still unannounced, generating headlines through its own countdown rather than peaking early.
Can people in the United States enter the Flying Fish Dracula’s Castle contest?
No. The promotion is limited to six markets — South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, Peru, and Canada — and does not include the United States.
Where is the Flying Fish Halloween event taking place?
At Bran Castle in Transylvania, Romania, on November 7, 2026, widely associated with the Dracula legend.
What is Flying Fish, and why is a beer brand running a global Halloween campaign?
Flying Fish is a flavored malt beverage brand owned by AB InBev, positioned within the company’s “beyond beer” portfolio. The campaign is aimed at building brand recognition among legal-drinking-age consumers in its six active markets through large-scale, shareable experiential marketing rather than domestic sales activation.
