This holiday season, Maker’s Mark® is blending Kentucky craftsmanship with Parisian flair in an experience that’s equal parts bourbon, art, and storytelling. The iconic handmade bourbon brand has announced a collaboration with world-renowned bartender Colin P. Field, celebrated for his legendary tenure at Bar Hemingway at The Ritz Paris, to launch “Le 46” — a limited-time holiday pop-up cocktail series debuting this December in both Kentucky and New York City.

“Not only does Colin create impeccable cocktails, he is also a fantastic storyteller and the consummate host,”

“We are delighted to welcome Colin back to the homeplace of Maker’s Mark and excited to share the exceptional experience he’ll create with our community of bourbon lovers.”

A Toast to Maker’s Mark 46

The pop-up, aptly named Le 46, celebrates the brand’s beloved Maker’s Mark 46, known for its bolder notes of caramel and vanilla achieved through aging with specially seared French oak staves. It’s a bourbon that bridges American tradition with French refinement — a perfect reflection of the partnership between Kentucky and Field’s Parisian legacy.

“As a barman who deeply appreciates the artistry of fine spirits, Maker’s Mark 46 stands out to me for its unique character and complexity thanks to the French oak finishing,”

Colin P. Field.

“It beautifully marries the richness of tradition with a modern twist. I’m thrilled to craft this pop-up experience, where I can share my passion for this exceptional bourbon and celebrate its extraordinary flavor.”

Following its Kentucky debut, Le 46 will travel to New York City later in December, where Field will once again showcase the artistry behind Maker’s Mark 46 with a bespoke cocktail menu that captures the brand’s warm, handcrafted spirit amid the glitter of the city’s holiday season.

The Art of the Cocktail

Field, who has been crafting cocktails for more than 44 years, is known for his masterful storytelling and refined hospitality — an approach that perfectly complements the Maker’s Mark philosophy of “handmade and heart-led.” His clientele has ranged from royalty and fashion icons to global tastemakers, making him one of the most celebrated mixologists in the world.

The pop-up’s name, Le 46, pays homage to Maker’s Mark 46’s innovation: a bourbon aged with French oak staves, yielding a complex balance of spice, sweetness, and silkiness that has become a modern classic in whiskey circles.

As part of the collaboration, Field will unveil a signature Maker’s Mark 46 cocktail — his take on a “bourbon cosmopolitan for the soul” — which will remain on the distillery’s menu throughout the holiday season.

Experience Le 46

Whether you’re a bourbon enthusiast, a cocktail connoisseur, or simply someone who loves the art of hospitality, Le 46 offers an unforgettable blend of French finesse and Kentucky soul.

After its Kentucky premiere, Le 46 makes its next stop in New York City — promising a festive, sensory celebration for bourbon lovers and style seekers alike.

About Maker’s Mark

Founded in 1953 by Margie and Bill Samuels, Sr., Maker’s Mark® set out to create a bourbon “without the bite,” replacing rye with soft red winter wheat for a smooth, creamy texture and gentle sweetness. Every bottle is handcrafted, hand-dipped in red wax, and aged to taste, not time.

Today, the brand remains a benchmark for quality and creativity in American whiskey — a legacy carried forward by Rob Samuels, the family’s eighth-generation whisky maker.
