The LA Phil announced today that Flea: the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist fresh off his March 2026 jazz solo debut Honora, is joining the September 29 bill alongside Erykah Badu, The Alchemist, and DJ Pee .Wee, Anderson .Paak’s DJ alias.
The addition rounds out an already genre-scrambling night built around visual artist Lauren Halsey, who is also designing the stage. The September 29 performance features the Charles Gaines Collective with Black Nile and Devin Daniels, in what’s shaping up to be less a conventional concert than a full-scale collaboration between music and visual art.
