L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Returns, October 4, for Its 13th Year to Support Childhood Cancer Research

L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Returns for Its 13th Year to Support Childhood Cancer Research

L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade, one of Los Angeles’ most beloved culinary charity events, is gearing up for its 13th annual cookout on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

This highly anticipated event has become a hallmark of the city’s vibrant food scene, raising millions to support childhood cancer research through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. With tickets now on sale, this year’s event promises to continue its tradition of bringing together culinary stars, philanthropists, and food enthusiasts in support of a life-saving cause.

Since its inception, L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade has raised an impressive $11.2 million for childhood cancer research. The 2024 cookout alone raised more than $1.6 million, a testament to the generosity of Angelenos and the event’s ever-growing popularity. Held at the iconic Royce Quad on UCLA’s campus, the cookout provides an unforgettable afternoon of delicious food, great company, and a shared commitment to fighting childhood cancer.

This year’s cookout will feature an exceptional lineup of culinary talent, with 59 chefs confirmed to participate so far. While the full roster of chefs is still being finalized, it’s expected to include some of the city’s most renowned chefs and restaurants, ensuring a day filled with mouthwatering bites and unforgettable flavors. Alongside the chefs, wineries and mixologists will also be announced in the coming months, adding an extra layer of indulgence to the already stellar event.

Presenting sponsors for this year’s cookout include Northwestern Mutual, Resy, and Volvo Cars of North America, whose support continues to be crucial in the event’s success. These partnerships help ensure that every dollar raised goes directly to funding childhood cancer research, bringing us one step closer to finding a cure.

“Each year, we are inspired by the generosity of our guests and the incredible chefs who donate their time and talent,” said Suzanne Goin, co-founder of L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade. “It’s a day where food, community, and philanthropy come together for a cause that affects so many families. We are proud to continue supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in its mission to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for childhood cancer.”

The event, which runs from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, is not only a celebration of food and community but also a critical fundraiser for childhood cancer research. All proceeds from the event go directly to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which funds groundbreaking research to develop better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. The foundation, which was started by Alex Scott, a young cancer patient who held lemonade stands to raise money for research, has grown into one of the leading organizations in the fight against childhood cancer.

As the event draws near, the Kids Campaign is also gearing up for a new season of fundraising activities. Community members are encouraged to participate in the campaign, raising funds and awareness for the cause. More information on how to get involved will be available online in the coming months.

With the support of passionate chefs, generous sponsors, and a dedicated community, L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade continues to make a significant impact in the fight against childhood cancer. The event is a shining example of how food, community, and philanthropy can come together to create lasting change.

Elizabeth Delphin
Elizabeth Delphin loves a good time! A fun concert, a good dinner out with friends, those weird artsy-fartsy festivals. If she's not at the office or at home, she's likely walking her dog Milo at Runyon Canyon (seriously, sometimes she goes 2-3 times a day).
