Flâneur Wines announces the release of their 2017 single vineyard Pinot Noirs from their two estates: Flanerie Vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA and La Belle Promenade Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains.
The 2017 La Belle Promenade Vineyard
a unique offering a different showing from their 2016 but still reflects the terroir of their young site. A hint of whole cluster fermentation brings depth and texture to this wine after one of the slightly cooler recent vintages.

The winemakers (Grant and James) reveal they allowed this wine to sit in barrel for closer to eighteen months, rather than a year, resulting in an elegant tannin structure that evolves in your glass (or in bottle) over time. Very exciting! Sounds like a great gift for your wine friends.
James Suckling’s 94 point rating summarizes well: “super, spicy and earthy complexity here. This has a very pure core of red cherries, influenced by subtle winemaking and use of oak…. This is a long, lively and intense pinot with real purity of fruit. Drink or hold.”
