Tonight Haas is co-hosting with Alissa Alekseeva and Davida Nemeroff, the Night Gallery Owner.
Choosing DTLA’s Night Gallery as the location was an inspired decision. As you arrive, it’s a perfect mixed-use space with open areas to walk, wander, mingle and dream.
A very special live performance begins by the artist Daniel T. Gaitor – Lomack, which unfolds in three acts and engages the art pieces in his exhibition.
Tonight the smaller indoor area contains several elements, all part of the same art project.
In the left corner is a smashed 1990’s looking TV with Godfather 2 VHS set and Humphrey Bogart VHS set. In the middle of the room are three crosses. And on the far side is an empty white while begging to be used in this performance.
Outside that room, across the wide space, and inside the larger building are several wide screen video monitors all displaying NFT art.
Looking closer, among the monitors we see NFTs of: the smashed 1980’s looking TV, the Godfather 2 VHS set and Humphrey Bogart VHS set.
What’s happening is tonight’s live art performance features artist Daniel T. Gaitor – Lomack
Interacting with the TV, VHS tapes and crosses. Then the audience can further immerse themselves in the artistic experience by acquiring the NFTs.
Mind = Blown. Love it.
Many who are reading this understand NFT’s and their full capabilities. For others, who are learning, they’re getting their minds blown every few minutes by how art, creativity and technology are expanding the world at lightning speed.

And with that, the sun hasn’t quite set and artist Daniel T. Gaitor – Lomack is on the roof starting his performance.
His intensity commands the attention of the crowd.
Moments later he’s in the smaller room writing “Act One” on the white wall.
He has 2 videographers (shooting 16mm) following him and a live cello scoring his moves.
What he’s doing and saying seems tragic. Yet the moment feels poetic. Perhaps that’s the definition of deciphering art?
He’s crawling from one side of the small room to the other, between the crosses and toward the TV. He’s calling out his history, his father, his family, his memories.
There’s a certain communal magic in watching a crowd of people intensely watch an artist mid-performance.
He finally finishes his crawl, ends up at the TV, then gets up, walks back to the no-longer empty white wall and scrolls “intermission”
As it happens, an exclusive NFT drop and a special NFT giveaway for 110 ArtMeta IDO holders.
Every guest receives a POAP. A series of limited NFTs converted from three of Gaitor-Lomack’s sculptures currently on view in his solo exhibition at Night Gallery, The Many Spirit Don; Opera di Dio.
Gaitor-Lomack’s sculptures have been digitized into three exclusive mini NFT series that just went live to $MART token holders and became available to the public
The cost of these three sculptures has been divided into the price of the NFTs and will make it possible for the physical sculptures to be donated to publicly accessible art institutions and collections. This innovative exchange of art through blockchain and community cooperation turns every NFT holder into a benefactor.
ArtMeta is proud to be the first architects of this novel opportunity.
By digitizing a piece of physical art into an NFT series and proportionally distributing the total cost of the piece so that every patron may experience what their contribution has made possible for the artist and institution.
Owners of these NFT series will also become part of a small community that will receive an exclusive invite to ArtMeta hosted AMAs with the artist himself.
Each person in attendance is encouraged to complete the ArtMeta step by step guide to getting a wallet (at the event, if they do not already have one), so that each person may receive an exclusive POAP after the event.

In 2013, Night Gallery moved to its current location near LA’s downtown arts district. In January 2022, Night Gallery launched Night Gallery North, an expanded gallery space neighboring its current location at the corner of 16th and Imperial Street.
Over the course of the past twelve years, Night Gallery has become the locus of the city’s flourishing visual arts community, maintaining its commitment to artists of diverse backgrounds and points of view while raising its international profile. The gallery’s current programming echoes the joyfully experimental approach of its early years while continuing to support its thriving artists and their practices.
