Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace host the 2025 Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards, elevating Chinese wines to global acclaim this February.
The art of winemaking takes center stage once again as Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace prepare to host the 2025 Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards — a celebration of craftsmanship, innovation, and the global rise of Chinese wines.
Supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office, this year’s judging week, running February 28 through March 5, promises to elevate the competition to unprecedented levels of excellence, drawing the attention of the international wine community and the luxury hospitality world alike.

China’s Finest Wines Meet Global Standards
Created by Wynn Signature, the exclusive lifestyle brand of Wynn Resorts, the Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards has quickly become China’s most prestigious wine competition, evaluating domestic wines according to internationally recognized standards.
Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, this year’s competition has expanded significantly — with nearly 200 top wineries submitting over 900 wines from across China’s diverse terroirs, from Ningxia and Yunnan to Shandong and Xinjiang.
“Wynn’s mission is to honor the extraordinary craftsmanship of Chinese winemakers while introducing their artistry to the world,”
“This year’s competition not only highlights excellence but also fosters global appreciation for China’s growing wine culture.”
A Judging Panel of Global Authorities
The 2025 judging panel features 27 internationally renowned wine experts, including Masters of Wine, sommeliers, and critics from leading global publications.
True to the highest global standards, judging will take place through blind tastings, employing the 100-point scoring system used by the world’s top competitions such as the Decanter World Wine Awards and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
Wynn will also introduce two new award categories this year:
-
“Wynn Sommelier’s Choice” – chosen by the event’s panel of sommeliers.
-
“Best Young Winemaker” – honoring innovation and emerging talent in China’s wine industry.
These additions join the prestigious “Wynn Signature Best Wine of China Trophy” and 37 other award categories, celebrating both varietal expression and regional distinction.
Beyond Judging: Masterclasses and Culinary Pairings
The judging week is more than a competition — it’s an immersive celebration of wine culture. Wynn will host a series of Masterclasses, professional seminars, and wine dinners, pairing China’s finest wines with the world-class cuisine of Wynn’s award-winning chefs.
Each event is designed to deepen appreciation for Chinese winemaking through education, storytelling, and sensory experience.
A Global Stage for Chinese Wines
The Awards Ceremony on April 11, 2025, will reveal the winning wines, followed by a year-long global promotional campaign through Wynn’s extensive international network.
Thanks to Wynn’s partnerships and the presence of its distinguished judges, the winning wines will receive exposure in Mainland China and key international markets, amplifying Chinese wine prestige alongside the world’s elite producers.
Following last year’s inaugural event, the Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards achieved remarkable impact — ranking alongside IWC, CMB, and DWWA in prestige and recognition. The competition also inspired policy-level support in China, such as Yantai City’s new subsidy program rewarding wineries that achieve top recognition at Wynn’s awards with up to RMB 20,000 in grants.
Wynn’s Vision: Promoting Excellence in Chinese Wine
As a luxury hospitality leader with a global culinary reputation, Wynn Resorts continues to champion the art of wine through its Wynn Signature brand, merging fine dining, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling.
By bridging Chinese wineries with global experts, the Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards is not just a competition — it’s a movement that connects tradition, innovation, and international recognition.
“Our goal is to shine a global spotlight on the
exceptional quality and artistry of Chinese wines,”
“This is about more than awards; it’s about elevating China’s wine narrative on the world stage.”
