KASS Wine Bar + Restaurant Winemaker Dinner Featuring Kale Wines and VGS Chateau Potelle! Tues March 12th, 2019

Michelin-Starred Executive Chef Christophe Émé cordially invites guests to attend KASS Wine Bar + Restaurant’s first Winemaker Dinner, a one night only event which will include a very special wine and food pairing hosted by leading artisanal wines and spirits distributors Hillside Wines & Spirits. Additionally, special guests Kale Wines Owner & Winemaker Kale Anderson and VGS Chateau Potelle Vice President and General Manager Matthew Regan will be in attendance to introduce each varietal that will be served alongside a meticulously paired Four Course Prix-Fixe Tasting Menu prepared by Chef Christophe Émé on Tuesday, March 12th, 2019, with the First Seating from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and the Second Seating from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

In 2008, Kale and Ranko Anderson set out to create Rhône inspired wines from extraordinary vineyards in Northern California under their own label, Kale Wines. Specializing in small production, handcrafted wines, Kale Wines utilizes new technologies as well as traditional techniques to express the vineyards’ unique characteristics. While Director of Winemaking at Pahlmeyer, Kale became one of the youngest winemakers to earn 100 points from Robert M. Parker, Jr. for the 2013 Pahlmeyer Cabernet Sauvignon Pièce De Résistance, the first perfect score awarded to Pahlmeyer in their thirty-year history. Seduced by the exuberance and generosity of the Napa Valley fruit, VGS Chateau Potelle Owner Jean-Noel Fourmeaux has spent 35 years establishing a solid reputation for his label’s avant-garde approach to winemaking and commitment to quality. Selling exclusively and directly to consumers, VGS Chateau Potelle considers themselves privileged to have the trust of an outstandingly loyal clientele and maintains a commitment to high standards that their clients have come to expect for over three decades. All of the wines featured on this special celebratory evening are rated 90 points or higher and will be available for purchase on the night of the event.

About KASS Wine Bar + Restaurant and Executive Chef Christophe Émé: After twenty-five years as a powerhouse in the fine dining industry, Michelin starred and world-renowned Chef Christophe Émé uncorked another side of his prowess by introducing KASS Wine Bar + Restaurant. Growing up in France’s picturesque Loire Valley Chef Christophe Émé began his career at age 16 with an apprenticeship at the Hôtel de France in Angers before embarking on a journey that has propelled him across the globe, sharpening his skills at some of the world’s most prestigious restaurants with enough Michelin stars between them to form a constellation. Arriving in the United States in 2001, Émé made his way to Los Angeles as Executive Chef at the highly revered L’Orangerie before commencing on his first solo venture with the critically lauded Ortolan on West Third Street, where he showcased his impeccable haute cuisine. Shortly after Ortolan debuted in 2005, Émé was honored by Food & Wine as one of the “10 Best New Chefs” and subsequently earned a Michelin star in 2007. After setting a higher standard for the next generation of French restaurants, Émé moved on to open KASS Wine Bar + Restaurant, a chic and welcoming wine bar and restaurant that offers a sophisticated yet approachable French dinner menu and unrivaled wine list in a 40-seat dining room and bar stripped of pretension, but brimming with innovation and immaculate presentation.

Kass Wine Bar + Restaurant will be offering their Hillside Wine & Spirits Winemaker Dinner on Tuesday, March 12th, 2019 with a First Seating from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and a Second Seating from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. For more information or reservations, guests can make reservations by calling Kass Wine Bar + Restaurant directly at 323.413.2299.
