Early Life as a Musical Prodigy
Joey spent much of his childhood years sitting at a piano. But unlike so many cliche tormented artist stories, he actually loved it. He sees it as another a way to tell a story, evoke emotion, help people relax, unwind and stoke their imagination
Joey’s Choice Music Studio
After college Joey decided to follow this passion and officially create a business around his music, launching Choice Music Studio in 2018.
What he quickly realized was using the same curiosity, discipline and execution to create music so well also made him a successful business owner.
His business quickly grew.
Soon enough he was being asked by other businesses if he could consult with them and help them grow their business as well.
In order to help these companies, he had to learn new industries, new skillsets, all at the speed of a start-up, even if some of the clients had been around a while.
Did it work? Big time.
Suddenly Joey had a growing community of successful businesses he was helping as a consultant.
His approach is intense, but it works for him and the results are undeniable.
What did it take?
When he’s learning something new, he spends 16 hours working and 5 hours studying the topic. He boldly, fearlessly immerses himself into the new topic.
“I can swim in the shallow water all day, but I know that won’t make me learn as fast as possible.
I go in the deep water to learn faster and trust the lifeguard will save me”
So how does Joey the artist switch from art to business to coaching?
Much like everything else in his world, Joey dissected it, learned how his body and mind work separately, then practiced until that duality was under his control.
For his body, he began bodywork two years ago, with a focus on trigger point massage therapy.
For his mind, he trained himself to practice detachment.
And that’s where Joey Lieber is today. Launching new initiatives every month, supporting a client roster of growing companies, an investor pool of “kind, happy people who happen to love music” and, of course, creating beautiful music that helps him relax and audiences fall in love.
