WineLA Presents: Grenache Wars at La Brea Bakery Cafe January 12

GRENACHE – (a.k.a. Garnacha) one of the most widely planted grapes in the world is now one of the most exciting! Presented in a large number of styles, come taste and  VOTE for which winery wins 1st prize!!!

Grenache is finding more than a few fans here in Southern California and is planted extensively in Santa Barbara (especially Ballard Canyon) and in Paso Robles where the style is more concentrated and inky, with typical notes of spice, berry fruits, and white pepper. Grenache is often described as being similar to Pinot Noir but with a powerful tannic grip, a great alternative for those summer BBQs!

Come and experience Grenache at its best with a number of the top producers in attendance for this round of battles–all to the tune of live music curated by the talented DJ Wig. No wine glass is safe when Grenache gets involved, and don’t forget your toothpaste… your teeth may never be white again. wineLA welcomes wine fans of all experience levels!

To honor this versatile grape, wineLA is thrilled to present our Grenache Wars event on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at The Brea Bakery Cafe.
