Get excited about Smooth Ambler SpiritsPernod Ricard USA, the premium wine and spirits supplier in the United States, is proud to announce that Smooth Ambler Spirits has been named the Best Craft Whiskey Distillery in America according to USA Today’s 10Best.

When asked about the winning: “We take great pride in providing our customers with the highest quality of whiskey, whether we make it ourselves, merchant bottle the finest from around the country, or marry our own with what we source, as we do with our sought-after Contradiction Bourbon,” said John Little, Smooth Ambler CEO and Head Distiller. “Receiving any sort of recognition for this, particularly by whiskey drinkers in America, is a huge honor for us. Thank you, to the readers of USA Today’s 10Best, for naming us the best craft whiskey distillery in America.”

Established in 2009 by John Little and John Foster, Smooth Ambler Spirits has grown from a team of three to twenty-four.  This small, craft distillery is due to distill three thousand barrels of whiskey this year in West Virginia: a destination to which their most rabid fans travel to visit and taste the brand’s award-winning liquid.

Over the years, Smooth Ambler has received notoriety for not only its quality liquor and limited releases, but also its transparency. In an age where many brands are bottling whiskey that was purchased under well-marketed campaigns, Smooth Ambler has always clearly stated on their labels exactly what is in the bottle. Each label is hand signed and numbered and tells the story of each of their whiskeys.

The craft distillery scene in the U.S. is growing more and more each day. In order to choose the best in the country, USA Today’s 10Best asked a panel of spirits industry experts to nominate the best craft distilleries in seven categories. Over the course of four weeks, readers chose their favorites in each category. For more information on the award process, visit https://www.10best.com/.
