CHAYA Downtown Continues Legacy By Presenting
Refined Japanese-Californian Cuisine & New Summer Offerings!

For nearly a decade, CHAYA Downtown has walked the fine line between a place for business and an oasis for repose. Known for their creative ability to bridge between cultures and transcend the perception of Japanese and American dining, CHAYA Downtown is proud to introduce their latest delectable additions to their new Summer Menu!

With roots deeply planted in the 1600s, CHAYA originated as a humble but beloved teahouse along an ancient mountain pass. By the 1800s, this modest teahouse garnered enough acclaim and good fortune that it was able to innovate and evolve into a luxurious inn, and after more than one hundred years catering to the royal court and Japanese government officials, CHAYA evolved once more and established itself as a landmark dining destination with a pioneering marriage between French and Japanese traditions, ingredients and culinary techniques.
