In exciting Palm Springs news, theme park \u201cReturn to Aztl\u00e1n\u201d is announced the Coachella Valley area.\u00a0 Including concert venue, water slides, movie theaters, and more.<\/em><\/p>\n Aztl\u00e1n Development<\/a>, a Palm Springs group of theme park architects and developers has unveiled plans inspired by the Mesoamerican empires of the Aztecs and Toltecs in between California\u2019s Indio and Coachella.<\/p>\n the 48-acre theme park<\/strong> including a concert plaza with a 10,000-person capacity<\/strong>, a beach amphitheater<\/strong>, and a 16-screen movie theatre<\/strong> in the shape of a Mayan temple.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/em><\/p>\n Visitors take a glass elevator to a high-standing observation deck that provides incredible views across the Coachella Valley then take a wild ride down one of the pyramid\u2019s many water slides.<\/p>\n Related:<\/p>\n Bobby Flay\u2019s newest restaurant<\/a> Amalfi opens in Las Vegas<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The first phase of the site will produce sets, soundstages, and other set designs for the upcoming film Montezuma Rising \u2013 Return to Aztlan<\/em><\/strong>, which is the inspiration for the design of the them park.<\/p>\n \u201cOur illustrious entertainment collaborators are following in the steps of Paramount, Disney, and Sony<\/p>\n in creating an entertainment venue based upon popular movie themes,\u201d<\/p>\n said Mark Stuart, CEO of Aztlan Development.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The theme park concept has been in development for years, but the time is right to finally move ahead.<\/p>\n Return to Aztl\u00e1n<\/strong> will be a central piece of Coachella Valley’s Aztl\u00e1n Entertainment District<\/strong>, a three-square-mile development that hopes to includes Championship Eagle Falls Golf Course<\/strong> and two Native American Casinos<\/strong>, a resort hotel, and many other amenities during its next phases of construction.<\/p>\n The entire lot is hosted on Tribal Trust Land owned by the Cabazon Band<\/a> and 29 Palms Band of Mission Indians, both part of the great Cahuilla Indian Tribe.
