By collaborating with local communities, they collect a predefined amount of ocean-bound plastic equivalent to the participating company\u2019s overall plastic consumption, therefore reducing the company\u2019s plastic footprint.\u00a0 <\/span>IE: 1 TONTOTON credit = 1 ton of rescued \u201corphan plastic\u201d, making the TONTOTON solution the missing link for the completion of the recycling system of all single-use plastics.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ultimate goal<\/strong> is to build and execute well-functioning recycling practices within local communities, which inevitably become self-sustaining and effective ecosystems within those territories.<\/span><\/p>\n

On March 2<\/span>nd<\/sup><\/span> of 2021, TONTOTON became the first company worldwide certified under the Ocean Bound Plastic Neutrality Standard. The plastic pollution crisis needs immediate action to reduce air pollution caused by open air burning and to stop the flow of plastic waste into the ocean. <\/span><\/p>\n
