ASCAP,\u00a0<\/b>the world leader in performing rights and advocacy for music creators, recently kicked off its renowned annual\u00a0ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop\u00a0<\/b>for an historic 30th year.<\/b>\u00a0Mentored by\u00a0Emmy Award-winning composer\u00a0Richard Bellis<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and produced byASCAP Film & TV executives\u00a0Michael Todd<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Jennifer Harmon<\/span>,\u00a0<\/b>the comprehensive 4-week program in\u00a0Los Angeles<\/span>\u00a0is known in\u00a0Hollywood<\/span>\u00a0circles for grooming some of the film and TV industry’s top composers, connecting them with agents, music supervisors, attorneys and A-list\u00a0Hollywood<\/span>\u00a0studio executives. The 12 composer participants for this year’s program were revealed today.<\/p>\n

Supported by\u00a0The ASCAP Foundation<\/b>, the Workshop culminates with each participant taking the podium at the historic Newman Scoring Stage at FOX Studios before a 64-piece orchestra to conduct and record their original score for a major motion picture scene.<\/p>\n
