The\u00a0West Coast Cub Fly-In<\/b>\u00a0is excited to announce their 34th<\/sup>\u00a0annual fly-in at the Lompoc Airport scheduled for\u00a0July 13-15<\/span>, 2018.\u00a0 The fly-in has become one of the best attended and longest running Piper Cub fly-ins in the nation, with over 100 of the WWII-era planes expected to attend this year.<\/p>\n Lompoc’s<\/span>\u00a0West Coast Cub Fly-In is a popular event enjoyed by pilots and spectators alike – visitors are welcome to the event free of charge.\u00a0 The fly-in also provides a great opportunity for photographers to capture photos of the many vintage aircraft. Kids enjoy the event as well, and the fly-in helps to encourage the next generation of pilots.<\/p>\n Visitors will have the opportunity to walk among the aircraft, interact with pilots, observe the flying events, and enjoy the various activities.\u00a0 T-shirts, souvenirs, food and refreshments will be available for purchase.<\/p>\n Pilots typically arrive on Thursday, as the event officially begins on Friday.\u00a0 The fly-in kicks into high gear on\u00a0Saturday July 14th<\/span>\u00a0with pilot proficiency games along with other fun activities, plus a tri-tip dinner and awards ceremony in the evening.<\/p>\n In addition to observing the historic planes in action, attendees are also able to get up-close views of the aircraft on the ground and interact with the pilots, many of whom will be attending from out of state.\u00a0 Many aircraft depart for home the following morning (Sunday) after breakfast.<\/p>\nRead Related\u00a0Entertainment articles here<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n
