STX Entertainment<\/b>,\u00a0Robert Simonds’<\/span>next-generation media company,\u00a0Tencent<\/span>\u00a0Pictures<\/b>, the fast-expanding film and television arm of\u00a0China’s<\/span>\u00a0internet and social media giant\u00a0Tencent<\/span>, and\u00a0Channing Tatum<\/span>,\u00a0Reid Carolin<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Peter Kiernan’s<\/span>\u00a0Free Association<\/b>\u00a0production company announce a partnership to co-produce a film adaptation of the mega-hit “Zombie Brother<\/b>,” the top title on Tencent’s digital comics and animation platform.<\/p>\n

Since 2011, the digital comic book has garnered more than 17 billion views\u00a0over 348 episodes,\u00a0and its animated series has attracted more than 3.7 billion views across its first two seasons. The franchise has also been adapted into a mobile game and a popular\u00a0stage play. The stage play\u00a0has had a record-breaking run of sold out shows across the region.<\/p>\n

STXfilms will distribute the film domestically and\u00a0Tencent<\/span>\u00a0Pictures will distribute in\u00a0China<\/span>.\u00a0Channing Tatum<\/span>,\u00a0Reid Carolin<\/span>,\u00a0Peter Kiernan<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Michael Parets<\/span>\u00a0will produce for Free Association, and\u00a0Edward Cheng<\/span>,\u00a0Howard Chen<\/span>, and\u00a0Conor Zorn<\/span>\u00a0will produce for\u00a0Tencent<\/span>\u00a0Pictures.
