The awards ceremony will take place on\u00a0<span class=\"xn-chron\">Friday, May 4<\/span>, from\u00a0<span class=\"xn-chron\">6:00pm-10:00pm<\/span>, at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel &amp; Bungalows in\u00a0<span class=\"xn-location\">Santa Monica<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>At the centerpiece of BritWeek, the Innovation Awards celebrates the very best of British and American creativity and entrepreneurial talent.<\/p>\n<p>The evening will demonstrate the best of\u00a0<span class=\"xn-location\">Britain<\/span>, opening with a cocktail reception, featuring British food and drink vendors as well as a technology showcase. Following this reception, the awards will feature tribute videos and globally recognized leaders in the creative industries.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Read Related\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyovation.com\/category\/entertainment\/\">Entertainment articles here<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This year&#8217;s recipients include: Multi-Michelin Star Chef and<b>\u00a0<\/b>Star of the FOX series &#8220;MasterChef Junior,&#8221; &#8220;Hell&#8217;s Kitchen&#8221; and &#8220;24 Hours To Hell And Back,&#8221;\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Gordon Ramsay<\/span>, Founder of the Huffington Post and Founder and CEO of\u00a0 Thrive Global, Arianna Huffington,\u00a0Co-Founder of the meditation App\u00a0Headspace, Andy\u00a0Puddicombe, and Founder of\u00a0Red Nose Day,\u00a0Richard Curtis.<\/p>\n<p>On this special evening, the recipients of the Innovation Award will tell the story of innovation and excellence to illustrate what happens when the best and brightest from both sides of the Atlantic unite.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12659\" src=\"https:\/\/dailyovation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Support-GREAT.jpeg\" alt=\"Proud to Support Great Britain and Northern Ireland (PRNewsfoto\/BritWeek)\" width=\"2362\" height=\"1614\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been incredibly fortunate to build my business and raise a family in the UK, and also call the US our home, so really honored to be included in BritWeek celebrating the innovative and dynamic relationship between our two countries,&#8221; stated Ramsay.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Thrive Global&#8217;s mission is to\u00a0end\u00a0the global epidemic of stress and burnout,\u00a0and a global crisis demands a global solution.\u00a0Being recognized by BritWeek\u00a0is a sign that everything we&#8217;re doing\u00a0is\u00a0having\u00a0a\u00a0real\u00a0impact,&#8221; said Huffington. &#8220;And it&#8217;s particularly special to me given that the U.K. and\u00a0<span class=\"xn-location\">California<\/span>\u00a0have both played such special roles in my life.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I&#8217;m thrilled that the work we do at Headspace is being recognised in this special way. As a company founded in\u00a0Britain\u00a0and now thriving in\u00a0<span class=\"xn-location\">California<\/span>, I can&#8217;t think of a more fitting occasion to celebrate our Anglo-American story than at Britweek,&#8221; said Puddicombe. &#8220;It&#8217;s also very heartening to see the conversation about mental\u00a0health\u00a0and wellbeing elevated in this way, an acknowledgement\u00a0that we are happier and healthier when we take the time to look after our mind, not only for ourselves, but also for\u00a0those\u00a0around us.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;It is a huge honour for\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Red Nose Day<\/span>\u00a0to be recognized in this way. After 30\u00a0years of\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Red Nose Day<\/span>\u00a0in the UK, we&#8217;re now in our fourth year in the US and have raised over\u00a0<span class=\"xn-money\">$100 million<\/span>\u00a0and \u2014 what\u00a0matters most \u2014\u00a0been able to get help and support to\u00a0over\u00a08 million children across America and\u00a0around the world,&#8221; said\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Richard Curtis<\/span>, award-winning writer-director and founder of\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Red Nose Day<\/span>. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We&#8217;ve got great charity partners and we&#8217;re doing everything we can to keep kids healthy, educated and safe. It&#8217;s been genuinely amazing to see how Americans have taken to\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Red Nose Day<\/span>\u00a0and,\u00a0with luck and hard work, it&#8217;d be wonderful if we can achieve what we&#8217;ve tried to do\u00a0in the UK: show\u00a0people how hard other people&#8217;s lives can be, but also convince them that there&#8217;s something all of us can do about that \u2014 and\u00a0that making changes in the world can be\u00a0fun.
