Today, Mo\u00ebt Hennessy\u00a0USA<\/span>\u00a0announced a new partnership with City Harvest in which it will donate both time and resources to help the pioneering non-profit feed nearly 1.3 million New Yorkers this year. Mo\u00ebt Hennessy will be the exclusive wine and spirits company to partner with City Harvest in this manner.<\/p>\n To kick off the partnership and in celebration of National Volunteer Week, Mo\u00ebt Hennessy\u00a0USA\u00a0<\/span>employees are participating today in City Harvest’s\u00a0Repack on the Road<\/i>\u00a0volunteer drive to assemble 1,000 snack packs that serves 7,000 children in pre-school, Head Start and after school programs. This year, Mo\u00ebt Hennessy\u00a0USA<\/span>\u00a0has committed to providing 200 volunteer hours by the end of the year to feed families in need.<\/p>\n Mo\u00ebt Hennessy will also serve as sponsor for all of City Harvest’s 2018 signature events, including the 35th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary Gala on\u00a0April 24<\/span>\u00a0at Cipriani 42nd<\/sup>\u00a0Street, honoring\u00a0Chrissy Teigen<\/span>,\u00a0Robin Hood<\/span>,\u00a0Bill and Wendy Mills<\/span>\u00a0and Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s. Proceeds from the event will go to supporting City Harvest’s work of rescuing healthy food that would otherwise go to waste, and delivering it to low-income families and neighborhoods in\u00a0New York City<\/span>. This is City Harvest’s largest annual fundraising event, and last year, it raised nearly\u00a0$2.7 million<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 enough to help feed over 9,800 families for a year.<\/p>\n “The Mo\u00ebt Hennessy\u00a0USA<\/span>\u00a0team and I could not be more excited to partner with City Harvest ” said\u00a0Jim Clerkin<\/span>, President and CEO of Mo\u00ebt\u00a0Hennessy North America<\/span>. “We are an organization that highly values our commitment to philanthropy, community and sustainability, which fully aligns with the mission of City Harvest whose\u00a0Healthy Neighborhoods<\/i>\u00a0programs make it possible for us to make a difference.”<\/p>\n “Nearly 1.3 million New Yorkers face hunger every year, including one in five children in our city,” said City Harvest CEO\u00a0Jilly Stephens<\/span>. “We’re proud to partner with Mo\u00ebt Hennessy to ensure that residents across the five boroughs have enough nutritious food for themselves and their families. Mo\u00ebt Hennessy’s generous commitment will help feed over 200,000 of our neighbors in need.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The City Harvest partnership builds on the work of the Mo\u00ebt Hennessy Philanthropic Committee, charged with supporting national charitable initiatives that tie with the heritage and identity of the brands, while fostering a community spirit within the organization.<\/p>\n Since its formation last year, the committee has organized volunteers, donations and resources for major local non-profits including Food Bank for NYC, Empire State Relief and Recovery Effort and Run 10 Feed 10.
