There will be four livestream feeds, with different artists performing on each simultaneously. This includes one VR180 channel. Viewers tuning in there will experience performances and on-the-ground coverage in a more immersive way, using viewers and headsets.

Highlights from the weekend will be available through a VOD hub. Returning host Jason Bentley from KCRW, along with co-hosts Nadeska Alexis, Valerie Lee and Brittany Eustis, will bring fans interviews with artists and creators from throughout the festival.

YouTube parent Google is also using the festival as a platform for promoting Google Home and Google Pixel mobile devices. Upon hearing the spoken prompt, “Hey Google, talk to Coachella,” the Google Home system will offer information on the festival, including set times and travel info. Fans at home will get a backstage experience with live artist interviews.

Google Pixel will showcase its camera at Coachella’s iconic ferris wheel. Select gondolas on the giant wheel will be special Pixel photo booths, and portraits of performers will be captured on Pixels backstage by noted photographers.
