Countess Diaries: Sneak Peek into the Exclusive Cinematic Pictures Gallery Launch & Kramer Holcomb Sheik’s 5th Anniversary Fall Charity Party

The highly anticipated CINEMATIC PICTURES GALLERY launched in Hollywood, California and the space is absolutely stunning.  Crafted and impeccably curated by multi-award winning director/writer TJ Scott (ICE, The Mist, Gotham, Bates Motel, Queen of the South, Dark Matter, Damien, Orphan Black, Black Sails…) and internationally renowned celebrity photographer Dennys Ilic (who’s subjects include a little series of films called Lord of the Rings, to Battlestar Galactica to Harrison Ford, Viggo Mortensen, Liv Tyler …) , the 4000 sq ft gallery is the flagship headquarters for the business’ umbrella company, Cinematic Pictures Group (CPG).

We were among the 1000+ privately invited guests who descended on the Hollywood & Highland Complex’ to be the first to experience the CP Gallery and celebrate our attorney’s Kramer Holcomb Sheik LLP’s 5th Annual Fall Charity Party.  It was one of those rare Hollywood nights when everyone was equal.  Whether movie star, television star, rock star, legal star or real life star, everyone joined the line to check-in including…our hosts Daniel Kramer (KHS), Shahrokh Sheik (KHS), John “Jack” Holcomb (KHS),  Karl Urban (Star Trek), Katee Sackhoff (Longmire), James Maslow (Big Time Rush), Katrina Law (Arrow), Roger Cross (Dark Matter), Aleks Paunovic (Transylvania), Victor Webster (Continuum), Michael Eklund (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency), Daisy Head and Zachary Fall (Freeform’s Guilt), Peter Shinkoda (Daredevil), Max Ryan (Rage), Nick Holmes (Gilmore Girls), Nick Bateman (Hobo with a Shotgun), Aliyah O’Brien (Bates Motel), Bo Roberts (Change of Command), Desiree Ann Siahaan (Whispers of the Dead), Simone Bailly (NCIS: Los Angeles), Sophia Davey (Black Jack’s), Michele Specht and Vic Mignogna (Star Trek Continues), David Blue (SGU Stargate Universe), and the Commander himself Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica).

It was a brilliant set up.  We arrived in the most delicious Sweet Candy Store and were handed an iced glass of bubbly, fresh Mike’s Hard Lemonade, others chose the White Claw Hard Selzer. We checked-in, then followed the ‘yellow brick road’ to the red carpet, had our photos taken, then continued on through the RuPaul Gallery and into the Oscar door!  Phase 1 was a bit like a theme park, I was so distracted looking at all the amazing chocolate, candy and toy creations it felt like time whisked by.

Once in the outer gallery, cocktail bars were flowing with handcrafted drinks from Bogart Vodka and Gin and Rok Spirits, Vana Tallinn, Viru Valge Vodka from Blackhorn Imports, Fuego Tequila, Golden Road Brewing and ABK Beer and award winning wine from Sweetzer Cellars.  Then, as we made our way through the throng into the Gallery’s annex room, DTLA’s hottest new restaurant Prank created an epicurean utopia filled with seasonal beverages and delectable bites – truly the mini carrot cakes and warmed rum whipping cream creation just about took me out!

Then the grand reveal!

We entered into THE GALLERY.  Stunning, larger than life images swept each wall – drawing us into their story.  One gentleman remarked that each photo evoked a sense of tension; though I personally connected to each in a unique way.  One a sense of freedom, another excitement; though all have a common baseline of beauty.  Enmeshed with the sounds of conversation, laughter and a musical landscaped painted by the sounds of British DJ Emma Ford, and live performances by Alana and These Fine Gentlemen, Automatik Eden, 8mm and Cinematic Pictures launching artists Rachele Royale and Whitton. Peavey Electronics outfitted the Gallery with state of the art sound, designed by uber producer and CP Music Board of Director’s member Sean Beavan… it really was an extraordinary sensory stimulation.

As the clock struck two (am!), we and the evening reluctantly concluded. I was doing my utmost to look unraveled, as we were handed one of the coveted gift bags.  Mine included a state of the art wireless headphone from Monster Products and an array treats from Sweet! I grabbed a Hint Water, while my husband went for the Monster Energy drink and we made our way home to our eagerly awaiting 93-pound, four legged Chow/Massif child-dog Muppet.

The event benefitted five outstanding charities including F*ck Cancer, Sanctuary For Kids, Susan G Komen Foundation, Exceptional Children’s Foundation and Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Charities.
