Every so often, different styles of music get blended and if it is executed perfectly, it creates a fresh new sound. Hard rock/electronic band The ReAktion has tastefully crafted a sound that appeals to multiple audiences. Originally from Chile, the band recorded their debut album ‘Selknam’ in Canada with renowned producer Garth Richardson who has worked with bands such as Atreyu, Rage Against The Machine, Sick Of It All, Rise Against, and dozens more.
Following the recording of their album, the band made their way to the United States under the management of Sid Wilson from Slipknot. They have toured with bands including OTEP, Hollywood Undead, and Tantric. ‘Selknam’ was released on October 21, 2015. A few days after the release, they performed a jolting set at Knotfest. These guys conquer crowds of all sizes whether they are performing at festivals or more intimate venues like The Viper Room and The Roxy in Los Angeles.
The ReAktion has unleashed the video for “The Network” off of ‘Selknam’. The video was shot in August at The Punsh music festival in Santiago, Chile and captures the band playing in front of their hometown crowd. The footage shows how much energy they bring and shows the band’s most important asset: their live performance. They put on a high-energy show that almost feels like a hard rock rave with heavy breakdowns and a colorfully lit stage. When lead singer Simon Rojas was asked to comment about the song, he replied by saying, “The song has been a standout during live shows. We always get a lot from the crowd when this track comes up.” In addition, he added, “In every voice, we are all involved.”
