With the grand opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood earlier this year, the magic is now making it’s way over to the Hollywood Bowl for a sensational night of wizards, spells, and potions. On July 6, for one night only, Harry Potter fans will experience an enhanced viewing of the first film from the beloved series brought to life by author J. K. Rowling.
On a warm summer night, out in the open of the beautiful hills of Hollywood, this will truly be the time to escape into fantasy and be a part of such a cherished story. The audience will go on an adventure with the wizards from acquiring their first wand, arriving to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, to games of Quidditch and all of the action in between.
To watch “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in high-definition on an enormous screen in a vast yet intimate environment under a moon lit sky already sounds enticing. In addition to the screening, feelings of nostalgia while going on this journey yet again and reliving monumental moments will be taken up a notch as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, conducted by Justin Freer, performs the score composed by the legendary John Williams. Watching the film outdoors in the Hollywood hills where you can gaze up at the stars while feeling the energy and vibrations of the soundtrack being accompanied by a live orchestra, harmonizes the entire experience and adds an element of thrill and excitement that surely will not be forgotten. It will be an alluring night at the Hollywood Bowl filled with fascination and imagination.
This wondrous night takes place weeks before the highly anticipated premiere of the play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” on July 30 in England. Digital and print copies of the script for “The Cursed Child” will be released worldwide on July 31. For information on tickets, please click here.
