Coupons.com Incorporated, a leader in digital coupons, today announced Jennifer Ceran to the Coupons.com executive management team as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 8, 2015. As Coupons.com’s CFO, Ceran will be responsible for all corporate finance, accounting and investor relations functions, reporting to Steven Boal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Ceran comes to Coupons.com from Box, Inc., where she served as Vice President of Finance for the cloud-based, enterprise content management company.
With Ceran’s appointment, Mir Aamir, Coupons.com’s current Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, is being promoted to President and COO, as previously announced. The promotion enables him to focus full time on strategy, operations and growing the business. Aamir will continue reporting to Boal.
“We conducted an extensive search for our new CFO, and I am thrilled to have Jennifer join our leadership team,” said Steven Boal, Founder and CEO. “She has had a distinguished career, both at Box and Fortune 500 companies such as eBay, and Cisco. Jennifer has a proven track record that will help fuel our next level of growth as a leader in data-driven digital promotions.”
While at Box, Ceran oversaw treasury, investor relations, and procurement functions. Prior to joining Box in 2012, she spent nearly a decade at eBay Inc. in varying global roles, including VP Investor Relations, VP Financial Planning & Analysis and VP Treasurer. She managed every aspect of the company’s external capital raising activities and internal treasury operations. Ceran also spent more than a decade at Sara Lee Corporation, where she held various finance roles across corporate development, FP&A and treasury in domestic and international markets.
“I am honored to join Steven, Mir and the talented Coupons.com team,” said Ceran. “The company is changing the landscape of how people shop and engage with manufacturers and retailers, with data at the forefront. There is vast market opportunity, and I’m excited to get started.”
Ceran’s achievements have been well recognized. In 2012, Institutional Investor magazine ranked her the No. 1 Investor Relations Professional in the Internet sector. For four consecutive years, from 2006 through 2009, Treasury and Risk magazine named her as one of the “100 Most Influential People in Finance.” Ceran holds a M.B.A in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A from Vanderbilt University.
