93.5 KDAY FM, Los Angeles’ source for Back In the Day Hits, proudly presents the inaugural Komedy Xxplosion.  Starring Mike Epps, this live comedy event will feature a full night of outrageous performances, including appearances byDeRay DavisCorey HolcombTony Roberts and AJ Johnson.  Komedy Xxplosion will take place at the legendary “Fabulous” Forum on Friday, July 25.

Stand-up comedian-turned-actor Mike Epps got his first big break performing on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” and soon parlayed his popularity into big screen success with co-starring roles in Ice Cube features Next Friday (2000) and All About the Benjamins (2002). Tall and handsome with a charming smile and a sharp demeanor, Epps stood out in a string of broad comedies before being tapped to play more substantial characters in meatier films like 2007’s Talk To Me.  He also had a role in the smash comedy The Hangover which has grossed over $450 million to date.

Epps has appeared on screen alongside the likes of Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson, Bernie Mac and Issac Hayes.

When Epps isn’t filming, he is on the road touring the country.  His current “After Dark Tour: Comedy for the Grown and Sexy” is packing theaters and arenas across the country, including the famous Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  Mike’s one hour live standup special, “Inappropriate Behavior” aired on HBO and was one of the network’s top-rated one-hour specials of the year, followed by a DVD release.  Mike’s other live DVDs include “Funny Bidness, and “Under Rated & Never Faded.”  Epps also headlined Shaquille O’Neal’s “All Star Comedy Jam” in 2013 and hosted the “BET Hip Hop Awards” in 2012, 2011 and 2010.

Comedian-turned-actor DeRay Davis appeared in the 2012 blockbuster mega hit 21 Jump Street with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, 2011’s Jumping the Broom starring Angela Bassett and 2008’s Semi-Pro alongside Will Ferrell, Andre Benjamin and Woody Harrelson.  Showtime aired his hilarious live standup special, “DeRay Davis: Power Play.”  DeRay also lends his voice and writing talent to countless characters on Kanye West albums, as well as to Adult Swim’s “The Boondocks” and “Black Dynamite.”

Corey Holcomb, the coldest comic in the game, has made a name for himself nationwide with a bold, no-holds-barred approach.  He has regularly appeared on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and MTV’s “Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out.”  He also voices Robert Tubbs on the “Family Guy” spin-off, “The Cleveland Show.”  Holcomb has three TV specials of his own – “Corey Holcomb: The Problem Is You,” “Comedy Central Presents: Corey Holcomb,” and “Corey Holcomb: Your Way Ain’t Working.

Comedian, actor, writer and director Tony T. Roberts has been blessed with the coveted honor of being the, “comedians’-comedian.”  The guy other performers love to watch work.  His hilarious and refreshingly energetic comedy style has granted him industry respect and created a huge demand for him on the live circuit.  Roberts has appeared on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” “Showtime at the Apollo,” BET’s “Comic View” and performed at Shaquille O’Neal’s All Star Comedy Jam.

Comedian and actor AJ Johnson broke big thanks to rolls in the hit films FridayPlayers ClubI Got the Hook Up and the House Partyseries.  His TV television credits include “The Jamie Fox Show,” “Malcolm & Eddie, “Martin,” and The Parent ‘Hood.”  But, he built his success on his outrageous live standup material.
