The success of “Compass” marks Lady Antebellum’s eighth No. 1 single. The track has already sold 469,000 downloads according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group’s previous hit, “Downtown,” hit No. 1 after just 12 weeks on the chart.

Lady Antebellum’s Take Me Downtown Tour is packing venues in almost 80 cities across the country. After a sold-out TD Garden show the Boston Herald noted that Lady A had ” the time of their lives… the Nashville-based trio delivered a 90-minute, high-energy show that was chockfull of golden moments.” The Boston Globe added, “When their voices locked into pristine harmony on such tunes as foot-stomping opener ‘Compass,’ wistful ‘Just a Kiss,’ and propulsive ‘I Run to You’ …a sold-out crowd…was happy to take the ride.”

Lady Antebellum also recently received four Academy of Country Music Award (ACM) nominations including a nod for prestigious “Vocal Group of the Year” honors.

Since their 2006 inception, Lady Antebellum — Dave Heywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott — have been awarded seven Grammys including Record and Song Of The Year. The trio has sold more than 11 million albums worldwide, has taken eight trips to No. 1 on the country radio charts, and has earned five platinum singles. They have earned the Country Music Association’s and the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Group of the Year award three times in a row. Lady A also recently released Golden Deluxe, which includes both “Compass” and “Downtown.”

Known for his distinct ability to capture emotion with his music, David Nail entered the national country music conversation in 2009. With two ACM Award nominations in 2011 and 2013, as well as a Grammy nomination for his hit “Turning Home,” Nail has quickly risen through the industry ranks. “Turning Home,” which he co-wrote with Kenny Chesney, exemplifies Nail’s emotional exploration, but recently Nail has produced infectiously upbeat music with his new album I’m A Fire. The album’s title track, as Nail reflects, describes his career up to this point: “It says, ‘I’ve walked through flames, come out on the other end, and the foremost reason is because of you.’” I’m A Fire’s leadoff single, “Whatever She’s Got,” hit No. 1 and has been certified Platinum by the RIAA. It’s follow-up, “Kiss You Tonight,” is hitting airwaves now.
