On a beautiful spring day, film and television producer Debbie Durkin hosted her 3rd annual Rockn Rolla Movie Awards Eco Party for a purpose, mixing movies and music in a fun and eco-friendly environment, to showcase eco-luxury brands at the historic Pickford Mansion in Hancock Park.
Celebrities arrived to honor the 2013 MTV Movie Awards nominees, presenters, and past winners; celebrate National Pet Day, and support to charity partners We Rock Green Mics, Whole Planet Foundation and Rescue Bank.
The day was catered by Whole Foods Market, who served a healthy meal, in addition to gifting bags of new brands goodies. Live music surrounded the scene with performances from Stolen Rhodes, The Palace Ballroom, Katie Cole, Nicole Lexi Davis, Natalie Gelman, Lily Elise from The Voice and more with DJ Vanilla Chilla spinnin’ between sets.
Guests included NBA player and LA Laker Steve Blake, NFL player Brian Banks, Wes Ramsey, Bethany Joy Lenz, The Voice alum Lily Elise, Kelly Hu, Ted Levine, screenwriter and film director Shane Black, Josie Davis , Joel Michaely and GoDaddy internet sensation Jesse Heiman, among others.
In support of National Pet Day, Kelly Guldi of PupChips donated 72,000 bags of treats to Rockn Rolla Movie Awards Eco Party charity partners Rescue Bank, a 501(c)3 non-profit bringing donated pet food to non-profit animal welfare organizations. Additional charity partners include WE ROCK GREEN MICS, the eco-performance collective from With Our Words, Inc., 501 (c) (3) a youth development nonprofit from Stockton, California, and their Celebrity Green Writing Prompt Project, and the Whole Planet Foundation, a private, nonprofit organization established by Whole Foods Market, empowering entrepreneurs in our global communities through microcredit. Musicians for Microcredit™ is an initiative started by Whole Planet Foundation in 2011 as a way to engage the music community and its fans to raise awareness and funds.
