Hotel Abrego is about convenience and practicality, or so you realize as you pull in their driveway and park after the long drive. Yes, it’s nice. But it’s not intimidating like some of those “other” luxury hotels. Instead, the real luxury here lies within the staff and the details you’ll find in your room.
My day consisted of a several-hour drive followed by several hours covering an event. Needless to say, when it was time for bed, I was more than ready. And luckily, even at 2am, the staff was awake, alert and ready to help me. Thank you!
Stepping inside the lobby, you get the feel of a quaint hotel, or even a bed and breakfast. Not the 93-room boutique that it is. It’s cozy, welcoming. They treat you like family and it’s a relief.
The front desk is populated with helpful people who remember you. They ask how breakfast or dinner was and inquire about today’s activities. It’s the little touches that matter. And Hotel Abrego doesn’t forget the details.
It’s not until you first enter your room that the word luxury truly permeates your mentality. That’s right, it’s all about your room. One king bed or two queen beds with Italian linens, 37-inch flat screen TV, easily positioned desk with ergonomic chair, cordless telephone, iPod docking station, laptop-size safe, refrigerated honor bar, and coffee maker. The room even had a fireplace and chaise lounge. If this isn’t comfort, I don’t know what is.
It was wonderful, and I’m appreciative. Hotel Abrego knows how to treats it guests, and I’m looking forward to my next visit.
