PREVIEW: Abbot Kinney Festival honors arts in a green way Sept 26

In the year of 1984 a festival was founded which today has grown to be one of the most popular festivals in Southern California. The name of it is Abbot Kinney Festival and every year nearly 150,000 people visit to participate in the honoring of arts and crafts, environment, live music, food and fun for the whole family.

The Abbot Kinney Festival is a community in concert focusing on the environment, health and art. Here you can find everything from handcrafted items, restaurants, art galleries, salons, beer gardens and nightclubs along the charming street of Abbot Kinney Blvd. And it doesn’t stop there. The festival has expanded throughout the years and is now on Venice Blvd, Main St and several small side streets.

Hundreds of exhibitors are here to show their arts and crafts while musicians are performing their music on stages. The food choices are endless, and organic, eco-friendly and green activities are the main focus.

The festival highlights the community of Venice showing its uniqueness, friendliness and beauty which has been its purpose since its foundation 26 years ago by Abbot Kinney. What makes this festival special is their strong focus towards zero waste and lessening the event’s impact on the environment.

The Abbot Kinney Festival is taking place Sunday September 26th, 10 AM – 6 PM in Venice, California.
