CA quake hits Easter: 7.2 shakes us hard

Many of us are spending the day with family, friends and loved ones celebrating their form of the holiday Easter / Passover / something like that.  Others of us are drinking and truly celebrating, while in a periphary way also recognizing this day of blessedness.

Well, that all came to a crashing halt for Southern Californians when things started swinging from the walls:

According to Associated Press: “Seismologists have raised the preliminary magnitude of an earthquake in northern Baja California from 6.9 to 7.2″

“The quake centered south of California‘s border with Mexico was widely felt, swaying buildings as far away as San Diego, Los Angeles and Arizona.”

“The quake was felt for about 40 seconds in Tijuana, Mexico, causing buildings to sway and knocking out power in parts of the city. Families celebrating Easter ran out of the homes, with children screaming and crying.”
