Conductor Whitacre creates Virtual Choir [video]

Composer / Conductor Eric Whitacre wanted to bring together a different kind of choir for his latest classical piece.  And so he did something very different from the norm.  He used social media for his casting call.  With his blog and Facebook page, he invited followers to submit their  work.  250 talented vocalists from around the world submitted and Whitacre worked with what he found to create the 3D virtual choir.  The end result is astonishing.  Video is below.

This is what I absolutely love about internet work and social media.  It has the ability to connect us in ways that are only limited by our imagination. Presenting Lux Arumque by Eric Whitacre.
