Issue-specific goals for Global Citizen Live Vancouver include:
Since the first Global Citizen Festival in New York in 2012, Global Citizen has grown into one of the largest, most visible platforms for young people around the world calling on world leaders to honour their responsibilities in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The organization has taken its action-based model to Australia, India, the U.K., and Germany and created a platform for activists to learn about the issues they care most about, take action, and earn rewards for doing so.
Officially partnering with Global Citizen in 2016, Live Nation demonstrates its commitment to empowering fans and artists to make meaningful changes around the world through the power of live music. Global Citizens have generated commitments and policy announcements from world leaders, including financial aid valued at over CAD $45 billion that is set to affect the lives of over 1.75 billion people.
