Time Æon Foundation shares the ‘greatest watchmaking tradition’ at Baselworld 2020

Baselworld announces it will host the Time Æon Foundation at its next edition in 2020. For this premiere in Basel, the Foundation will be located in the heart of Les Ateliers in Hall 1.0 South, as close as possible to its stakeholders.

In its vicinity, Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei from Urwerk (the Timepiece, Birth of the watch 2) will be exhibiting just a few feet away, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard and President of La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud (the Timepiece, Birth of the watch 3) whose teams will also be just a few feet away, Philippe Dufour and Vianney Halter, members of the AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants) which will be located just above them.

Michel Loris-Melikoff, Managing Director of Baselworld said:

I would like to warmly thank Robert Greubel, Stephen Forsey and David Bernard for their trust and participation in the new Baselworld format.

Baselworld is evolving into a platform of experiences.

By hosting the Time Æon Foundation, Baselworld will offer its 80,000 visitors the unique opportunity to discover and admire a genuine workshop dedicated to traditional watchmaking by hand, organized around a workshop on traditional decoration led by master watchmaker Michel Boulanger.

Visitors will be able to discover and sit at the workbench, learn and appreciate the hand-made finishes in the greatest watchmaking tradition, share, enter a dialogue, simply marvel. The general public will be invited via all our communication platforms to come and discover the Foundation.
