NASA brings us Lightning Storms [VIDEO]

NASA has released new video from the International Space Station that shows the Milky Way, lightning storms over Africa, and a glimpse of the Sun.  Pretty cool stuff.

I’m a sucker for a good view, and it really doesn’t get much better than this.  This clip was filmed by  Expedition 30.

The video shows the view passing over central Africa — near southeast Niger to the South Indian Ocean, including the Milky Way (hazy glow of white light) creeping over the horizon.  In addition, the Lovejoy Comet also makes an appearance near the Milky Way.  The blindingly bright light at the end is the sun rising over the water.
