Tanna Frederick returns to stage for ‘Sylvia’

Tanna Frederick returns to the theater starring in the title role of “Sylvia”  at the Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica opening May 20 2011.

Frederick is also starring opposite Noah Wyle in Henry Jaglom’s romantic comedy “Queen of the Lot.” Frederick stars as Maggie Chase, an actress desperate to claw her way off the B-list of action films into major movie stardom.  Frederick won Best Actress at the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival for her role.

Frederick’s performance in her first feature with Jaglom, “Hollywood Dreams,” earned her Best Actress kudos at the Montana International Film Festival and the Fargo Film Festival, and propelled the film to Best Picture honors at the San Luis Obispo Film Festival and to Best Comedy at WorldFest Houston. She was named Method Fest’s “Performer to Watch” and has also received the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival’s “Maverick” Award.

  2. I’m so excited that “Sylvia” is coming to the Edgrmar. I saw it in Sierra Madre and it was wonderful but a number of people I know just weren’t willing to go that far. It was definitely worth it, if for no other reason than to see Tanna Frederick be totally convincing as a dog. Westside weinies – mark you calendars. See you at the Edgemar.
