Gunnar’s tagline is “Extraordinary people living the ultimate digital life.” After spending some time with them, it seems pretty accurate. High-technology, super-advanced, they don’t mess around.
Gunnar deals with professionals: data miners, business visionaries, avid gamers, creative artists, tech wizards, and people like me — those who are getting started and are realizing the difference their products provide…but more on that further down.
They have what’s called Gunnar i-AMP lens technology. It involves the human optical system and its interaction with digital devices. i-AMP lens technology can deliver an immediate and noticeable visual advantage in the short term, and provide performance in the long term.
I spend about 16 hours a day in front of a monitor of some sort, but I really haven’t looked for relief. I’m off to meetings, conferences, productions. I get home and work until 2 or 3am publishing and doing other computer work. By the time I hit the mattress, my eyes are weary, my forehead is throbbing. But that’s my life.
For the last several days, I’ve been wearing these. The Gunnar Paralex Gloss Onyx. On any monitor, colors do pop, contrast is stronger, and there’s no weariness in my eyes. Somehow, someway, they make it easier to stare at a screen. In some ways, I’d like to know all their secrets, but really I’m just satisfied believing their magic.
